Carl Smith announced that Jerry Loupee has joined his team for the upcoming primary run-off on August 10th.

Smith said, “I am pleased to have received Jerry’s endorsement in my primary runoff election and welcome him as a valuable member of my campaign team.  Jerry is not only a conservative but a long time leader of our local party who understands that I am the only candidate in this race who can and will beat Nancy Pelosi’s liberal ally, John Barrow in the general election this fall.”

Jerry Loupee, the former Chatham County Republican Party Chairman issued the following statement:  “Carl is a real conservative who has the support of not only Republicans but also independents and conservative Democrats alike and understands what it takes to win this district in the general election.  This is the best chance in years to retire John Barrow and take back control of Congress.  Carl is the best person in this race to challenge and beat Mr. Barrow.”
